Reflecting on the Year: Embracing Change and Growth
As the holiday season fades and we approach the end of the year, I find myself in a contemplative mood, reflecting on the journey of the past year. It's been a year of significant growth, both professionally and personally, and I'm excited to share some of the highlights with you.
Triumphing Over Health Challenges
This year marked a turning point in my health journey. After being diagnosed with celiac disease shortly after my daughter's birth in the spring of 2022, I dedicated myself to healing and wellness. Embracing whole food nutrition, strength exercise, and a regular meditation practice, I've experienced profound changes in my health and well-being. This focus on self-care has been transformative, bringing a sense of balance and vitality to my life.
Professional Ups and Downs
Professionally, the year has been a rollercoaster of experiences. In the spring, I launched a beginners course for learning ChatGPT, an endeavor that brought me immense satisfaction and growth. However, in a twist of fate, I was laid off along with my entire marketing team in July. Surprisingly, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
A Summer of Opportunities
Having spent my previous maternity leaves dealing with medical crises, this unexpected break became a gift of time. I cherished the summer with my healthy girls, creating memories that will last a lifetime. During this period, I immersed myself in interviewing and networking, connecting with organizations both locally and globally. The response was overwhelming, with multiple interviews each day, leading me to secure an exciting new position within just two months.

It’s been a year where I’ve dedicated time to a website refresh, making sure I’m regularly adding content. And also some awesome new headshots from Under the Old Willow! If you’re going to get headshots, always make sure it’s with someone who makes you feel comfortable and Kristin has been taking our family photos for six years.
Expanding My Reach
This year also saw the growth of my podcast, "Best Foot Forward." While I wish I had more time to dedicate to it, I promise to keep you updated on upcoming episodes. Additionally, guesting on various podcasts has been an enriching experience, allowing me to share my story and insights from both personal and professional spheres.
